Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts

Walt Disney World has a variety of on-property hotels, each with their own unique theme and style. There is a resort sure to please any guest. Each resort provides amenities for everyone with the home away from home feeling. Deluxe resorts are found in different areas on Walt Disney World Property.

The Monorail Deluxe Resorts easily access Magic Kingdom and EPCOT by Monorail. The Monorail Deluxe Resorts are:

  • Grand Floridian Resort and Spa: This unique resort offers timeless Victorian elegance and luxury to any vacation. Situated beautifully on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon, the quarters in this elegant resort feature top rated restaurants and bars. Unwind outdoors in two of their pools, take a spa, or indulge in a luxurious massage followed by evening fireworks
  • Polynesian Village Resort: This South Pacific themed resort on the Disney monorail line, has a volcano themed pool. Celebrating the spirit of the South Pacific, your family will find this oasis full of tropical palms, lush vegetation and so much more.
  • Contemporary Resort: This Mid-Century Modern designed resort, with a monorail running through its main building, is also walking distance from the Magic Kingdom. A 90-foot-tall mural designed by Disney legend Mary Blair, makes this resort unique as Blair is responsible for the distinctive look and feel of the “it's a small world” attraction.

The outlying Deluxe Resorts are:

  • Wilderness Lodge: For those travelers looking for a more rustic, woodland feel to your family vacation but do not want to compromise on luxury, look no further than the wilderness lodge. Wilderness Lodge provides 2 pools, 3 excellent restaurants, and a poolside bar and spa. Busses and ferry boats are the form of transportation from this resort.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge: The lodge is designed with a distinct African theme, featuring architecture and decor inspired by the art and culture of various African regions. One of the standout features is the ability for guests to view animals directly from their rooms and public areas. Giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife can be seen roaming in specially designed areas. Dining experiences focus on African-inspired cuisine, allowing guests to indulge in a variety of flavors. The resort features beautifully themed pools that provide a relaxing environment for guests. Busses are the form of transportation from this resort.

The Boardwalk Deluxe Resorts offer easy walking to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. They all have access to the Boardwalk area that offers many recreational activities, entertainment, shopping, and restaurants. The Boardwalk Deluxe resorts are:

  • Disney’s Yacht Club: This resort is themed after New England yacht clubs and coastal architecture. The exterior and interior design elements reflect a maritime ambiance with a classic and sophisticated touch. The Yacht Club shares the renowned Stormalong Bay, a three-acre water complex, with Disney's Beach Club Resort. This includes a sandy-bottom lake, lazy river, waterfalls, and a shipwreck-themed pool.
  • Disney's Beach Club Resort: The resort is designed to evoke the charm of a New England beachside resort. The architecture and decor feature pastel colors, wooden accents, and a relaxed coastal ambiance. Cape May Cafe, fand Beaches & Cream Soda Shop are just a couple of restaurants available for guests.
  • Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort: This resort is themed after the boardwalks of the early 20th century, featuring architecture and decor that reflect the charm and nostalgia of that era. The resort offers various recreational activities, including the Luna Park Pool with a water slide and carnival games. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including the Flying Fish restaurant and the Boardwalk Bakery, offering a mix of casual and fine dining experiences.

The one deluxe resort on the Skyliner is:

  • Disney’s Riviera Resort: This is the newest deluxe resort and is themed after the Mediterranean coastline, featuring elegant architecture, lush gardens, and panoramic views. The design is inspired by the grandeur of European Riviera destinations. The rooms are designed with a modern and luxurious aesthetic, and many feature balconies with scenic views. The resort boasts unique dining experiences, including Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera.  The main pool area, named the Riviera Pool, is adorned with a beautiful feature called La Petite Piscine, a small fountain play area for children. Additionally, there's a quiet pool for guests seeking a more relaxed atmosphere.
