Khao Yai National Park, located just a few hours' drive from Bangkok, beckons adventurers with its lush rainforests, cascading waterfalls, and diverse wildlife.

Embark on guided hikes through the park's pristine wilderness, where you may spot exotic creatures such as elephants, gibbons, and hornbills amidst the dense foliage. 

Meanwhile, in Nakhon Pathom, history comes to life at the Phra Pathom Chedi, one of the tallest stupas in the world and a revered Buddhist pilgrimage site.

Explore the intricate architecture and serene surroundings of this ancient monument, which dates back over a thousand years.

Cross the iconic Dom Luis I Bridge to Vila Nova da Gaia, where port wine cellars offer tastings and tours, providing insight into the rich winemaking traditions of the region.

For a day trip from Porto, venture into the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its terraced vineyards and breathtaking scenery.

8. London, England
